So Eden has found her left ear within the last few days. She loves to take her left hand and reach back and play with her left ear. Apparently she doesn't realize she has another one on her right side. Even tried showing her in the mirror and she still doesn't get it. Too funny! Overall she is doing great. Her sleeping is a little bit perplexing...sometimes she goes to 4am or 5am and sometimes she is up at 3am. Can't figure it out. She had her four month check up last week and she is tall and skinny! In the 70% in height and 20% in weight. Doctor Allison was impressed with how alert and strong she is. The nurses loved her version of boat (the yoga pose), she lifts up her head and legs creating a V with her body....pretty impressive! We are still enjoying mommy baby yoga every Thursday. Eden is fascinated with all the movement and she loves the music.
Brian and I are still adjusting to the life of parenthood. Brian and I are trying to balance work without having Eden in daycare. Brian has her 3 to 3.5 days a week and I have her the rest of the time. For me work seems to be twice as busy as when I left so it is proving to be challenging. I am also traveling a lot which is wearing me out. Thankfully Eden does great with Brian. She loves to go on bike rides with Daddy when the weather is warm enough. She just lights up whenever she sees him! Daddy's girl!
We are spending a lot of time thinking and praying for Kim's dad, Doug. He was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma in January and just started treatment this week. Life is so precious. We know God has a plan for him so trying to find comfort and encouragement in that.
Overall Brian and I feel very blessed in our life and are so thankful for Eden and the gift she is to us.
