Memorial Day Fun!

Brian spent the weekend working on the house but we had a chance to unwind for a bit as a family this afternoon.  The park and rive are less than a mile from the new house.  Eden loves swings, slides and water...the perfect combination!

Yes, the ugly mirrors are gone!!!!  And so is the ugly paint color...so much better.

Trying to leave the stove in as long as possible...

The waist height framed wall is the start of the big long penninsula.

Woohoo!  A clear view from the living room all the way through the eventually to be kitchen to the play room!  Not without some work though...Brian had to cut a hole in the roof to get the structural beams in the attic...I guess that is what happens when you take all the walls out!

Before view from the playroom into the kitchen, the wall with the mirror is coming out to open up the space.

The wall that the fridge is on is coming out too! so the ktichen will be open to the family room and the play room.

The new house!!

Eden is growing like a weed and getting pretty good at her Strider bike.  She really just started using it so hasn't gotten the coasting concept but sits on the seat and moves pretty good.

I guess Eden needed a drink!

It didn't take long for Eden to learn how to climb up on the toilet and from there onto the counter top in the bathroom...Once she gets up there she grabs a toothbrush and turns on the sink to get a drink.  Too funny...amazing what she is picking up on.  Problem is she can't get down yet...I guess we need to leave the door closed.

Before Eden could walk she was climbing on everything...so Brian decided to build her a climbing wall.  It is 4'x8' and took her all of about 3 times to get to the top by herself.  This child is crazy.  I guess we need to get her to the climbing gym!

Apparently Eden needed a hamburger!
